- Best for a simple UI: Streamlight Wedge, 300 lm constant on plus a 1,000 lm THRO burst, USB-C, 93.6 g, $86.49 at Bud's (Coyote, in stock).
- Best for flood plus spot: Coast Slayer, dual-optic beam, 1,150 lm Turbo, IP67, $79.99 (all six colors in stock at Coast).
The short answer: both are slim, rectangular pocket lights with a built-in battery, but they're built around opposite ideas. The Streamlight Wedge keeps it simple: a rotating thumb switch, one 300-lumen constant mode and a 1,000-lumen burst, charged over USB-C. The Olight Arkfeld Ultra packs in more: five white-light levels from 1 to 1,400 lumens, a UV light and a green laser, charged with Olight's magnetic cable. Pick by how many modes you want and how you want to charge.
The Arkfeld Ultra is the Arkfeld Olight currently sells on its US store. We couldn't confirm stock for the original Arkfeld or the Arkfeld Pro (Olight's Pro page didn't load at our Oct 11 check), so we compare the Ultra.

Modes and UI
Streamlight gives the Wedge two lighting modes: constant on at 300 lumens for up to 3 hours, and THRO (Temporarily Heightened Regulated Output) at 1,000 lumens for a 35-second burst. Both run from a rotating thumb switch that also shows battery level. There's no low or moon mode on Streamlight's spec list, so if you want a dim light for a dark bedroom, that's the main trade-off.
Olight lists five white-light levels on the Arkfeld Ultra: Turbo (1,400 lm), High, Medium (100 lm), Low (15 lm) and Moon (1 lm). A selector switch moves between white light, UV and the green laser. That's more to learn, but it covers everything from a 1-lumen night light to a presentation pointer.
Charging and battery
The Wedge charges its lithium polymer battery over USB-C in about 3 hours, per Streamlight, so any USB-C cable works. The Arkfeld Ultra uses a built-in 1,500 mAh lithium polymer battery and charges with Olight's magnetic USB cable in about 2.5 hours, according to its manual. If you'd rather not carry a dedicated cable, the Wedge is the easier fit.

Streamlight Wedge
$86.49, price at publish (Oct 2026)

Size, weight and build
Streamlight lists the Wedge at 5.46 in long and 3.3 oz (93.6 g), with an anodized aluminum body, a polycarbonate lens and a clip that mounts on either side. Olight lists the Arkfeld Ultra at 120 x 27 x 16 mm and 119 g with its battery, in O-aluminum (which Olight says is 1.73 times as hard as standard 6061 aluminum) with a glass lens. On paper, the Wedge is longer and the Arkfeld Ultra is heavier.
Coast Slayer: the flood and spot option
The Coast Slayer is a flat aluminum light with a different trick: a dual-optic system with separate flood and spot beams. Coast lists five modes (medium flood, high flood, spot, low flood and Turbo) on a rear switch, a Memory Mode that remembers your favorite, up to 11 hours on low, and 1,150 lumens with a 130 m beam on Turbo. It charges over USB-C in about two hours and is rated IP67. At $79.99 on Coast's site, it's the cheapest of the three at publish. Coast's Slayer page doesn't list a weight, so we've left that out.

Who should buy which
Get the Streamlight Wedge if you want a light anyone can pick up and use, with USB-C charging and no menus. Skip it if you need a dim mode.
Get the Olight Arkfeld Ultra if you want the widest range of output, a moon mode, UV and a laser in one flat body, and you're fine with a magnetic cable.
Get the Coast Slayer if you want flood and spot beams in one light for the lowest price of the three.
